Expressive Self Portrait Class
Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association

This is a great class to explore your creative abilities using layering techniques and mixed media application.  Students will email a photo of a self-portrait, a pet or a loved one upon registration.   The Instructor will print the image on Grafix Duralar Film which acts as a transparency, so no drawing skills are necessary.  The student will use Marabu sketch markers to outline and create stunning visual effects.  The Instructor will guide the students to use acrylics to block in and layer image after using the sketch markers.  Students may opt to select no image and pursue the process as an abstract.  Each student will take home a set of Marabu markers and a completed project.
